A place every person can call home

A welcoming day shelter for Parkersburg’s homeless community

At House to Home, we provide support to the homeless in the Parkersburg area. We strive to empower our clients by ensuring that their basic day-to-day needs for food, clothing, shelter and hygiene are met.

No one should go without food and shelter, no matter the circumstances. All services provided by House to Home are free of charge to our clients in need.

This place has been a Godsend

House to Home has helped with a lot of things including showers, clothing, and food. This place has been a Godsend to people like me who live on the river. They have helped me in so many ways. Maybe there should be more places like this.”

Where Compassion Meets Need

Every Day is Different — We’re Here to Help

Life for those facing homelessness and poverty is filled with uncertainty.

Imagine starting your day without a warm cup of coffee, a bathroom to freshen up, or even a place to brush your teeth. Picture not knowing where your next meal will come from, having no way to wash your clothes, store food, or charge your phone. For those experiencing homelessness, these everyday essentials are out of reach—but together, we can change that.

House to Home Day Shelter fills those needs.

House to Home Day Shelter provides a safe space where those in need can access these essentials without judgment. We offer warmth, dignity, and support to help clients navigate their day and connect with critical services, such as housing assistance, expungement programs, and furniture resources when they secure housing.

Homelessness and poverty affect the entire community, not just those living through it. And so long as there is a lack of affordable housing, many of our clients will continue to be unhoused. That makes what we do that much more urgent.

How we treat vulnerable individuals reflects who we are. That’s why at House to Home, we believe that everyone deserves respect. Every person deserves a place to call home and House to Home is that place.
